Melt - Bar/ Restaruant. Didnt eat there - but good atmos. They are cunning linguists with Cover Charge. They split groups, send the most naive up first. You pay when upstairs - like $10 cover, then let the next of the party up - who have to pay as the first group has already paid. Smart negotiators get in for free - but a very cunning stunt to be careful of.

No 1 Peking Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui. HK. Food: 6.5/10, Ambience: 8/10, View: 9/10, Value: 6/10. Can't beat the view of HK from this place. Very designer, nice place for visitors. Food and drink unsurprisingly overpriced and not spectacular. The Bollywood Night (Wed) after 11pm has a good DJ/ VJ, but the crowd not hot.

Dumlings and Noodle House - Vic St Potts Point. OK it is convenient and quirky, but the soup-dumplings have no soup. No comparison to Singapore, HK, Beijing - but hey, way more convenient. Pancakes i had were OK. Food: 6.5/10, Quirky: 7.5/10, price: 7/10. If you go, make a booking, go to a bar and come back as some ppl take all night to eat at their 6 mini-tables...
